Not sure how much they used computer rankings but they are a good guide
to truly objectively measure how a team did and the schedule it was done against. Some human thinking is needed, for sure. In the end, though, they did pick the same 4 teams computers would have. On the surface, it is a little strange Wash finished ahead of Clemson in the computers considering OOC schedules. Anyway, the debate seemed to be between Ohio State and Penn State. Ohio State was four spots ahead of Penn State in the computer rankings. That had to give committee members pause and illustrates the gap between the two when it comes to just who you beat and who you lost to (not making a decision on just one game -- OSU@PSU).
